Proper use of the accessories is important. Orenda Game Tables are made from hardwoods but are not indestructible. All accessories are designed to hold drinks, cards and game pieces. Placing more than 2 pounds of weight is not advised. Using the accessories to push yourself up or down from the table, sitting or dropping any amount of weight on the accessory will shock the wood and will cause serious damage to the rail and table. Banging or hitting the accessories from the side will likely knock the accessory from the table and may cause damage to the accessory or table.

Regular Cleaning & Maintenance
Remove dust with water-dampened cloth. Dust can build up over time and may scratch or dull finishes if not removed regularly. Remove fingerprints, cooking fumes and smoke residue with mild soap and water. These contaminants will not harm the finish, but they accumulate on the surfaces and dull the original luster.

Furniture Polish
With fine furniture finishes, avoid using furniture polish, cleaners or dust sprays that contain silicone, alcohol, ammonia and anything acidic. Use instead products such as Trade Secret Furniture Polish that are designed to make your furniture last.

Spills
Clean up any accidents and food spills in a timely manner. Spills made on top of the cover will require you to remove the spill from the surface of the table prior to opening up the vault. Clean up any spills that may have worked its way onto the vault card channel, vault walls and any inserts that may be present in the vault. It is strongly recommended to use place-mats & coasters to protect the finish at all times.

Fog damage is tricky to remove and may never be the same unless the finish is stripped away and resurfaced. So keep the pizza box and any other hot items on a heat resistant place mat.

UV Rays
The UV rays in the sunlight can break down many of the chemicals that exist in furniture and fabric dyes and cause permanent discoloration and fading of wood. Orenda Game Tables uses a UV protectant finish on all its tables to reduce the effects of UV damage, but, in order to keep your table in top shape is to just keep it out of direct sunlight.

Most hardwoods are open grained, causing solid furniture to expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity, even after a protective finish has been applied. These temperature changes may cause the wood to crack or have surface checks. This is not abnormal and these are not considered flaws, but rather nature’s “beauty marks” and results in a truly unique piece of furniture. Indoor humidity should be kept in the 35-55% range to minimize these effects.
